How to use countif in excel
Count-If:
Counts the number of cells within a range that meets the given condition / criteria.
Steps:1. Type =countif in a cell
2. Open the bracket ( or press tab key
3. Select the range of the data
4. Select / Type the criteria (see example below)
5. Close the bracket )
6. Press Enter Key
Note: Incase the criteria is in text format, you need to enter inverted commas both side of the criteria text.
Examples:
1. Reference the criteria field outside from the data selection.
2. Reference the criteria field inside from the data selection.
3. Type the criteria manually (incase of text entry as below put inverted commas both sides)
